In raising three young ladies, I told myself I had two choices; I could raise them on accident OR raise them with purpose. Noting how loaded the word “beautiful” is, I redefined the word with three foundational values: brave, smart and kind .
What happened next was unexpected. Other parents, leaders and teachers began using BSK in their homes, classrooms and organizations. They all found what I found; a meaningful way to engage with my family, my community and myself.
The success and power of BSK is in its simplicity and undeniable roots in humanity. Once you understand the BSK framework, you start to see how you succeed, why you fail, and most importantly how to use it to raise kids with greater purpose. Once you find your own Brave, Smart & Kind, you’ll see it’s been there all along.
